Founded in 1972, GBS operates locations in North and SouthCarolina, including its custom millwork division, distributingspecialty building products to customers in the Carolinas and partsof Georgia. A Brief Overview The Outside Sales Representative generates and secures new sales toincrease the profitability of the company. This position maintainsexisting accounts while generating new business through cold callsand following leads. What you will do Promote, sell, and secure new accounts for the company. Provide existing accounts with necessary products, time, andinformation. Assist with the selection of products best suited to customerneeds. Prepare, coordinate, and communicate price quotations, terms ofsales, delivery dates, and service obligations tocustomers/contractors. Resolve customer complaints and problems. Assist in the collection of accounts receivable. Coordinate project schedules, contractor schedules, andmaterial deliveries. Prepare and input orders as necessary. Informs company of competitive prices, products, andarea-related information. Maintain current knowledge of daily and monthly sales and theirrelationship to budget and margin goals. Research and order special products as necessary. Estimate materials from blueprints supplied bycustomer/contractor. Adhere to Conflict of Interest or Non-Compete agreement if inplace. Comply with Company’s attendance policy by maintaining regularand predictable attendance. Required For All Jobs Perform other duties as assigned. Comply with all policies and standards. Experience Qualifications 3 years of sales experience in building materials or relatedindustry required. Skills and Abilities Working knowledge of building materials industry and products,ability to negotiate prices and contractual agreements.
