  • Primary responsibility for developing sales strategies to optimize revenue growth, driving sales performance, improving sales processes and effectiveness, coaching sales teams across Consumer and Small Business Banking (CSBB) channels to enhance their skills and productivity.

Provide strategic leadership for client-facing roles across CSBB and ensure that the execution of strategic initiatives to accomplish desired results. Develop, organize and drive the planning, implementation, and execution of key strategic sales initiatives across CSBB, collaborating with all business leaders.

  • ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and implement holistic and scalable sales strategy for CSBB, in alignment with the Truist Purpose, Mission and Values, to include all sales channels (e.g. Premier, Digital, Small Business, Branch, Consumer Lending), to acquire new clients and deepen existing relationships, drive deposit growth, improve wallet share and client primacy. 2. Accelerate execution of the CSBB strategy by consulting with and advising business leaders in the effective and efficient design of sales programs and processes to meet the strategic goals and stated objectives of the business. 3. Work with CSBB sales leaders across products, segments and channels to close performance gaps in production, with focus on outstanding performance in our top markets. 4. Develop and maintain top markets playbooks and work with CSBB & Wholesale leaders to ensure consistency in execution to drive elevated performance outcomes. 5. Identify areas of opportunity for sales performance improvement, then develop and train teammates using best in class sales approach, to improve productivity across sales teams. 6. Provide strategic advice to the revenue producing areas of CSBB, ensuring effective and efficient design of processes to meet the ongoing needs of CSBB businesses, including collaborating with and leveraging partners that enable performance outcomes. 7. Collaborate with Total Rewards to drive alignment with incentive programs, improving efficacy and governance while ensuring teams are adhering to quality sales practices. 8. Demonstrate excellence in risk management through alignment with our Risk Management Framework. Exercise sound judgment and execute assigned responsibilities timely with integrity and honesty. Consistently reinforce Truist’s risk culture of awareness, identification, escalation, and mitigation through day-to-day activities and behaviors. 9. Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field, or equivalent education and related training 2. 10 years of experience in the financial services industry 3. Demonstrated ability to successfully manage large projects and programs. 4. Demonstrated ability to create followership, and drive influence with authority. 5. Demonstrated ability in interpersonal, sales, presentation and relationship management skills 6. Demonstrated high level of business acumen relative to financial services, specifically in the consumer and small business, and premier banking segments, including the ability to balance the delivery of programs against the realities of a budget 7. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal 8. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products

  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1. Master’s degree in a business-related field 2. Fifteen years of experience in the financial services industry 3. Completion of an established management or career development program such as the bank’s Leadership Development Program or similar program 4. Sound working knowledge of industry banking/investment platforms, products, services, operations, finance and systems
