Job Description:
The Product Specialist will focus on expanding market presence and driving sales for decorative surface products including countertops, sinks, and specialty materials. This field-based role involves working directly with fabricators, remodelers, and kitchen & bath professionals to provide expert-level support, education, and product solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and develop new business opportunities within assigned territories Build and maintain strong customer relationships through frequent in-person visits Collaborate with internal teams to create sales strategies and pursue key accounts Conduct product training and presentations to educate clients on features and benefits Monitor customer programs, pricing, and product placement to support growth targets Utilize CRM tools to track activity, manage leads, and ensure timely follow-ups Oversee inventory of samples and promotional materials at distribution locations Provide product expertise and act as a resource for teammates and clients alike
Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in outside sales, account management, or product representation Must have experience in the building supplies or construction industry Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and CRM platforms Must be willing to travel in the state of North Carolina and Southwest Virginia 4 days a week with occasional overnight stays
