Reporting to the President, the Roofing Sales Representative will be responsible for developing new business while managing existing accounts. Previous sales experience within the roofing or similar industry is required. We offer a generous salary, commission and benefits. Essential Responsibilities Identify prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations and clubs, and attending trade shows and conferences Contact new and existing customers to discuss their needs and explain how specific products and services can meet these needs Help customers select products based on their needs, product specifications, and regulations Answer customers’ questions about products, prices, availability, and product uses Emphasize product features based on analyses of customers’ needs and on technical knowledge of product capabilities and limitations Negotiate prices and terms of sales and service agreements Prepare and submit sales contracts for orders Maintain customer records, using automated systems Identify prospective customers by using business directories and following leads from existing clients
Essential Qualifications:
1 – 3 years of previously sales experience within roofing or a similar area Experience generating new business.
