The Role As a Business Development Officer – Physicians and Healthcare, you will play a crucial role in driving growth and achieving sales excellence as an important member of our high’performance Wealth team. This role is near-limitless in its upside and is unique to our organization as you will have business and revenue opportunities across all five of our business verticals, including Wealth Management, Wealth Builder, Family Office Services, Asset Management, and Retirement Plan Solutions. Through our parent company, Curi Insurance, we have 50 years of experience serving the healthcare industry, currently representing over 50,000 professionals and 4,000 practices that include physicians, physician groups, dentists, nurses and administrators. In conjunction with our Wealth business, we have come to understand the unique and varied challenges that healthcare professionals face when serving the common good, growing and operating a successful business enterprise, surviving an ever-increasing litigious environment, while addressing corporate retirement benefits and personal wealth management needs. You are a trusted advisor and seasoned professional with a passion for serving healthcare, medicine and the physician space. In your role you will leverage your experience and professional network in this high-need channel with your primary emphasis on developing, identifying and sourcing qualified Wealth and Retirement Plan prospects in the Healthcare sector. You will act as a key talent in facilitating new business referrals into our five business verticals to support revenue and profitability growth. You will have access to a deep bench of financial planning professionals, investment management experts, ERISA specialists, an in’house marketing team and senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities Business Development:

Identify and engage new business opportunities, cultivating relationships with decision-makers at target organizations, physician groups and healthcare practices.

Lead Generation & Pipeline Management:

Maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients, ensuring consistent follow-up and progression through the sales cycle from initial contact to client onboarding.

Consultative Sales:

Provide expert guidance and consultative support to prospects.

Networking & Relationship Building:

Establish and maintain long-term relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

Salesforce Management:

Utilize Salesforce to manage leads, opportunities, sales activities, and prospect interactions for accurate reporting.

Market Knowledge:

Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices

Collaboration:

Work closely with Wealth Advisors, Financial Planning teams, Asset Management, and our parent Curi Insurance plus Advisory, to ensure successful implementation of strategies aligned with the unique goals of healthcare professionals (e.g., student loan management, practice acquisition, risk planning, retirement, and exit strategies).

Presentations & Proposals:

Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential clients, existing wealth clients and health practices, medical and healthcare conferences, to include those of our parent Curi Insurance.

Thought Leadership & Visibility:

Participate in industry events, speak at healthcare conferences, and support educational content campaigns that resonate with the physician audience.

Travel:

25% to 50% Key Result Areas Create, implement and modify (as needed) a strategic business plan. Generate new business revenue through effective prospecting and lead-generation using all tools and channels available to you. Conduct presentations of Curi RMB Capital’s services across various events, targeted meetings, luncheons and one-on-ones. Profile and understand prospective client needs, effectively communicating them to the appropriate Curi RMB teams, with warm introductions, effective hand-offs and then ongoing sales support to completion. Support market growth and achievement of revenue milestones across specified business verticals. Key Skills Demonstrated success supporting and selling to physicians, dentists, and other healthcare professionals. Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and persuasive skills. Effective written and spoken communication skills for different audiences. General understanding of investment and financial planning needs specific to the healthcare segment Ability to build and maintain professional relationships. Proven ability to assess prospect needs and market opportunities. Initiative in identifying potential growth areas and implementing strategic actions. Proficiency in developing and delivering engaging presentations that move people to action. Adaptability to changing environments. Key Qualifications and Experience Five or more years of experience sales and relationship management in the healthcare and/or physician or benefits space. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Salesforce preferred. Existing network or referral sources in the healthcare or medical field is highly desirable.
