Job Description
The Commercial Sales Center Associate role will be a senior level commercial role within the commercial sales center (CSC) utilizing their market experience and mastery of commercial roofing systems to service the commercial roofing customers. The stated goal of the Commercial Sales Center Associate is to use discretion and judgement in reviewing roof specifications, understand the local codes and FM requirements, determine the most competitive manufacturers system to install, and provide competitive pricing that enable the customer to win. The technical expertise of this role sets this individual apart from the CSC reps as they are more of an advocate to our customers and a mentor to our sales teams. Duties and responsibilities
- Deliver consistent and comprehensive project quotations utilizing experience of the market dynamics
- Rely on the knowledge and experience of the commercial roofing industry to provide technical assistance to the customers
- Subject matter expert of commercial roofing and for systems such as Mincron, Logic Track, Salesforce, and Beacon Pro Plus to effectively communicate benefits and become a trusted source of knowledge to the customers
- Understand how to breakdown customer orders based on material correlation and shipping points
- Communicate with sales team to negotiate material costs for project orders prior to placing orders
- Utilize Supply Chain, Branch Managers, and upcoming project orders to effectively fill out material trucks into warehouse
- Create project schedules with the sales team and customers to clearly communicate all project deliveries Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in commercial roofing technical sales
- High School diploma required, bachelor’s degree preferred
- Working knowledge of Job Tracking
- Extensive product knowledge and technical system experience working in the commercial roofing industry
- Detail-oriented with time management skills to meet deadlines
- Proficient experience utilizing business intelligence systems ( Mincron, Salesforce, Logic Track, and Beacon Pro +)
- Ability to collaborate across other functions in the decision-making process
- Maintain a valid driver’s license Working conditions
- Sitting for extended periods of time behind a desk with a computer
- Communication via phone or virtual calls will be a large portion of the daily tasks
- May require local travel to meet with existing customers Physical requirements
