Job Description:

As a Sales Development Representative , you’ll be the first point of contact for new clients and play a key role in driving the growth of our client’s business. You will be responsible for generating sales opportunities, engaging with potential clients at small businesses in the Raleigh area, and supporting our sales team. The role includes a mix of sales-focused fieldwork and office-based responsibilities, allowing you to gain hands-on experience and a strong foundation in sales. You’ll learn how to prospect new leads, develop client relationships, and work alongside experienced professionals to close deals. This is a great entry-level role for anyone looking to build a career in sales and business development.

Key Responsibilities:
Sales Outreach:

Identify and contact new leads through calls, emails, and in-person meetings to introduce our services and generate interest.

Fieldwork & Client Engagement:

Meet potential clients, attend networking events, and industry conferences to build relationships and represent our company.

Lead Qualification:

Assess prospects’ needs and qualify leads to pass along to senior sales staff.

Relationship Building:

Cultivate relationships with new and existing clients to build long-term business opportunities.

Sales Support:

Assist in the creation of sales materials, presentations, and proposals to help close deals.

Market Research:

Stay informed on market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to continuously improve sales tactics.

CRM Management:

Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions in our CRM system.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) is preferred but not required. No prior sales experience required – this is an entry-level role perfect for those looking to start a career in sales. Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with potential clients confidently. Motivated, goal-oriented, and eager to learn. Comfortable with fieldwork and traveling locally in Raleigh to meet clients (valid driver’s license required). Self-starter who is organized, energetic, and proactive.
