This role involves assessing loan applications, conducting due diligence, and ensuring compliance with SBA regulations while providing exceptional customer service. The SBA Lender collaborates with internal teams and external partners to develop tailored financing solutions that meet the needs of small business clients. Conceptualizes, develops, and implements strategies for developing perspective business accounts to achieve loan goals. Manages and markets loan products and services to Small Business Administration (SBA) loan eligible businesses with emphasis on client contact, origination, and analysis. Leverages effective networking and sales capabilities to meet bank goals. Responsible for analyzing and segmenting SBA portfolios to evaluate risk and performance to risk expectations. Monitors the SBA loan portfolio to identify problem loans and loans with deteriorating credit situation. Takes immediate action to address and correct the situation. In addition, maintains close knowledge of each client’s business accounts, and loans to avoid and minimize associated risk. Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, agency guidelines and organization policies. Advises Chief Lending Officer on external factors that may affect establishment of lending policies, such as new or revised legislation and regulations. Recommends and implements appropriate changes to established policies and procedures.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent of 5 years SBA lending experience. Excellent knowledge and understanding of SBA loan processing, procedures, and due diligence is required. Comprehensive understanding of business development strategies, techniques, and business operations required. Knowledge of all applicable lending and other regulations governing business loans.
Experience:
A minimum of three years of experience in business, commercial lending is required.
