FLOOR SALES AND ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
The Opportunity We are searching for an energetic and customer-focused Retail Floor Sales & Administrative Assistant to join our showroom team. This pivotal role is perfect for someone who loves connecting with people, has an eye for design, and can confidently guide customers through their entire flooring project – from their very first visit to the successful completion of their installation. You will be instrumental in creating a positive and seamless experience for our valued clients.
Hours Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday:
9:30-5
Saturday:
10-2
Full-Cycle Sales & Design Consultation:
Customer Contact:
Greet and engage showroom visitors becoming a knowledgeable expert on our diverse range of flooring products (hardwood, carpet, tile, vinyl)
Design Consultation:
Provide personalized design advice Quote /
Order Preparation:
Accurately prepare and present detailed sales quotes guiding customers through the decision-making process, address concerns, and confidently close sales.
Project Coordination:
Oversee projects from start to finish, including placing orders, scheduling installations, ensuring materials arrive on time, and communicating with customers. Conduct post-installation check-ins to ensure customer satisfaction and address any final needs.
Showroom & Administrative Support:
Showroom Presentation:
Maintain an organized and visually appealing showroom, ensuring samples are current and displays are inviting.
General Administration:
Provide general administrative support.
Who You Are Experience:
2+ years of sales experience in a retail sales home environment, preferably in the flooring industry with a genuine passion for providing outstanding customer service and building lasting relationships.
Design Enthusiast:
A strong interest in interior design, home decor, and an ability to visualize spaces is desired.
Results-Oriented:
A proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals. You take initiative, anticipate needs and are a self-starter.
Organizational Whiz:
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Tech-Savvy:
Proficient with common office software (Microsoft Office Suite) and comfortable learning new systems.
Communication Skills:
