Job Description:

The Sales Support Specialist collaborates with the sales representatives, customer service and engineering, in pricing estimation of new and existing products. This position will aid in maintaining strong relationships with customers as well as help them understand and communicate their product needs.

Must be highly organized and flexible. Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have problem analysis and problem-solving attributes. Must be detail oriented. Must be self-motivated. Must be familiar with our design and production capabilities. Must have strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Must possess strong mathematical skills to accurately calculate product pricing proposals.

Responsibilities:

Develops pricing estimates that maintain our profitability and price competitiveness in the marketplace. Responsible for preparing and making presentations and proposals. Maintain record of activities in the company’s CRM system to keep track of client potential and also serve as a foundation for periodic progress reporting. Travel required to visit existing customers to perform vendor managed inventory product counts when needed. Collaborate with a broad spectrum of internal team members (including engineering, sales, customer service and engineering) in order to define capabilities when generating pricing proposals. Responsible for resolving customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports if necessary; making recommendations to management. Reviews manufacturing specification sheets when completed by Engineering. Demonstrates general knowledge of Index Packaging products and services. Education/Licensing and/or

Certifications:

Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required. Possess a minimum of two years of experience with a custom packaging manufacturer. Holds a valid driver’s license.

Salary and Rank:

Salaried position-negotiable based on qualifications.
