Monday – Friday 8:00 AM-4:00 PM, Saturdays as needed

COMPENSATION

$17-20/hr, based on experience and skills PURPOSE The purpose of the Auto Parts Counter Sales Associate position is to respond to all customer inquiries regarding automotive used parts from walk-ins or phone calls, record and track inquiries, and schedule preparation of parts to facilitate a successful sales process from start to finish. This person should develop a strong relationship with used car parts customers and local used car parts sources. This position also plays a role in the purchasing of scrap vehicles. The Auto Parts Counter Sales Associate will be expected to thoroughly inspect all purchased vehicles (checking under the hood, checking vehicle interior, checking vehicle VIN number, etc.).

RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee the automotive parts sales process from start to finish. Communicate with customer on parts status. Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Manage and balance a cash drawer. Enforce facility and yard policies. Respond to all customer inquiries regarding automotive parts. Record and track inquiries, to facilitate a successful sale process. Thoroughly inspect all purchased vehicles (check under the hood, checking vehicle interior, checking vehicle VIN number, etc.).

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Previous automotive parts experience needed! Ideally 1-3 years. Have strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills. Fast-paced, self-motivated individual that’s detail-oriented with a strong work ethic. Multi-line phone skills and computer skills. Professional attitude and appearance. Great communication skills. Current Driver’s License and clean driving record. Must be able to work the assigned schedule. Must be able to perform a variety of tasks in all kinds of weather/seasons. Physical Job – ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for long periods of time. Understanding of car auctions. Able to pass a pre-employment check.
