Sales Representative Lead Position Available In Jefferson, New York

Job Description:

OVERVIEW

This position is responsible for the in-housemarketing, promotion, and sale of specified products. This requireslearning about the detailed history of the products/companies andbeing prepared and ready to communicate this to the customer aspart of the overall promotion. Based on a broad promotionalconcept, the incumbent will use his/her creativity in setting upand designing necessary displays within specified locations.

Considerable point-of-sale interaction with the ultimate customeris expected and required and the ability to significantly andpositively impact the sales volume of the assigned product as aresult, is a fundamental expectation for this position.

Responsibilities

• Positively impacting sales volume as a result ofindividual in-house and point-of-sale involvement.
• Closing andselling the product at the display location or encouraging thecustomer to add the product to their shopping cart.
• Based onbroad marketing guidelines, works with the Acosta team and storemanagement in setting up and designing in-house (Exchange facility)marketing, promotion, and point-of-sale environment conducive toenhanced product presentation and sales volume. Considerablelatitude is given to the incumbent in using his/her creativity.
• Professional, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic communication andinteraction with the customer on a face-to-face basis, and/or, attimes, using audio/video equipment as part of the productpresentation, is part of the overall expectation.
• Work closelywith exchange management and develop good professionalrelationships to ensure smooth and cooperative involvement in themarketing, promotion, and sale of products.
• May require sometravel, and product movement/placement.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED required.
• 1-yearexperience in dealing with the public at the retail sales level.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Must be able tocomfortably interact with the public.
• Must have a professionalappearance & demeanor.
• Must be very familiar with EXCEL and WORD.
• Must be able to present to the public.
• Must have a validdriver’s license.
