Key Responsibilities Client Relationship Management:
Leverage and grow your existing book of business by maintaining strong relationships with shippers and carriers.
Freight Coordination:
Negotiate rates, arrange transportation, and manage end-to-end freight movement.
Carrier Development:
Build and maintain a reliable network of qualified carriers capable of handling unique load specifications.
Operational Oversight:
Monitor load status, ensure regulatory compliance (permits, escorts, route surveys, etc.), and proactively address service issues to ensure on-time delivery.
Documentation & Compliance:
Ensure all shipments comply with DOT regulations, state permit requirements, and company policies.
Performance Reporting:
Track key performance indicators (KPIs), maintain accurate records, and provide regular updates to leadership. Requirements Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Freight Broker or Logistics Coordinator Demonstrated understanding of permit requirements, equipment types (RGNs, multi-axle trailers, stretch trailers, etc.), and routing restrictions related to heavy haul. Strong negotiation and communication skills with a strategic mindset. Proficiency with industry software including TMS platforms, load boards (DAT, Truckstop), and CRM systems. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a remote or office environment.
