Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Outside Sales Representative to join our team and drive the successful launch of our new edible dried fruit tea infusion product, in bars, restaurants, coffee shops and hospitality industry. This position requires a results-oriented individual with a proven track record in sales, excellent communication skills, and a passion for building strong relationships with customers. The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for both on-premise and off-premise sales activities, working closely with the leadership team to achieve sales targets and establish Moosa as a leading brand in the market.

Key Qualifications:

Proven experience in B2B and B2C sales within the Food & Beverage or CPG industry Demonstrated track record of success in driving business-to-business sales, with a deep understanding of the dynamics, distribution channels, and key players within the Food & Beverage and Consumer Packaged Goods sectors. Active network of clients in retail, hospitality, and/or distribution Maintains strong and established relationships with decision-makers across hospitality groups, and distributors, allowing for immediate leverage of opportunities and streamlined entry into new markets. Strong ability to identify and develop new business opportunities Skilled in market research and analysis to uncover untapped segments, initiate strategic outreach, and convert prospects into long-term revenue-generating accounts through personalized and consultative selling approaches. Comfortable representing the brand at trade shows, events, and in-person meetings Confident and articulate brand ambassador, capable of effectively communicating brand value at industry events, networking functions, and client meetings, while building credibility and strengthening visibility. Experience using CRM tools and managing sales pipelines and reports Proficient in the use of customer relationship reports to track performance, forecast sales, and maintain organized, data-driven pipelines that inform strategy and improve customer engagement. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage, influence, and build trust with clients and stakeholders at all levels, fostering productive and long-lasting business relationships. Self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments Highly motivated and proactive individual capable of working independently, adapting quickly to change, and driving results without the need for constant oversight in a dynamic startup or scale-up context. Responsibilities :
  • Develop and implement sales strategies: Collaborate with the sales team to create effective sales strategies that align with the overall marketing and business objectives for Moosa.
  • Drive on-premise sales: Build and maintain relationships with bar, restaurant and coffee shop owners, managers, and staff to secure Moosa’s presence on drink menus and ensure proper visibility, promotions, and placements.
  • Expand off-premise distribution: Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at distributors to secure prominent shelf placements, negotiate optimal positioning, and drive sales volume.
  • Conduct product presentations and tastings: Educate potential customers about Moosa features, benefits, and unique selling points through engaging product presentations and tastings, emphasizing the brand’s value proposition.
  • Identify new business opportunities: Continuously identify and pursue new business opportunities, potential partnerships, and innovative sales channels to maximize Moosa market reach and penetration.
  • Achieve sales targets: Consistently meet or exceed sales targets by actively prospecting new accounts, maintaining existing accounts, and leveraging cross-selling opportunities within the designated territory.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities: Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences to adjust sales strategies, anticipate challenges, and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
  • Provide excellent customer service: Deliver exceptional customer service to existing and prospective accounts by promptly addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with internal teams: Work closely with the marketing, operations, and supply chain teams to coordinate activities, manage inventory levels, execute marketing initiatives, and ensure seamless order fulfillment.
  • Generate regular sales reports: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market feedback, and provide regular reports to the sales manager, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations.
Requirements :
  • Previous sales experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of sales experience in the beverage industry, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Knowledge of on and off-premise sales: Familiarity with both on-premise (bars, restaurants, coffee shops) and off-premise (distributors) sales channels, including the ability to navigate the complexities and dynamics of each.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to deliver compelling product presentations, negotiate effectively, and build rapport with customers.
  • Results-oriented mindset: Self-motivated and driven to achieve sales targets, with a proactive and persistent approach to prospecting, relationship-building, and closing deals.
  • Territory management skills: Ability to effectively manage a designated territory, prioritize accounts, plan sales activities, and optimize time and resources for maximum productivity.
