Role:

The Shift Lead / Senior Sales Associate will be the go-to person when on the floor—ensuring excellent customer service, assisting with operational duties, and helping create a welcoming and efficient shop environment. This is ideal for someone who already has a solid footing in wine retail or hospitality and is ready to step into light leadership and logistical responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

Customer Experience & Sales

• Serve as the lead associate on duty during shifts
• Provide knowledgeable, warm, and approachable customer service
• Guide customers through selections based on taste, budget, and occasion
• Maintain strong familiarity with the shop’s wine philosophy and selection (including new arrivals)
• Help answer customer questions and resolve minor issues or returns
• Fulfill occasional deliveries in the immediate neighborhood Operational Support
• Open and close the shop (keyholder responsibilities)
• Ensure store is tidy, stocked, and visually cohesive
• Ring up purchases, reconcile the register, and track inventory irregularities
• Help coordinate wine club fulfillment, including packing and labeling
• Assist with event and tasting setup as needed

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of experience in wine retail, hospitality, or a related field, ideally with leadership or keyholder experience
• Familiarity with wine & spirits (especially natural/organic wines) or eagerness to learn
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work on your feet
• Must be 21+ and legally authorized to work in the U.
