China Towne Furniture & Mattress, a family-owned home furnishings destination for over 50 years, is looking for a Sales & Interior Design Team Leader to elevate our showroom experience, grow sales, and guide our talented team of design consultants. This unique role blends sales expertise, interior design knowledge, and team leadership. You’ll lead by example on the floor, manage in-home design consultations, track key sales metrics, coach team members, and help set the tone for an engaging, customer-first environment.

What You’ll Do:

Lead and motivate a team of Sales Design Consultants to exceed sales goals and deliver outstanding customer service. Own sales performance metrics : track KPIs, team productivity, conversion rates, and average ticket size. Support and oversee interior design projects , from in-store consultation to in-home appointments and layout planning. Coach and develop your team through daily floor presence, training, and constructive feedback. Collaborate with leadership on visual merchandising, team scheduling, and department goals. Contribute to sales yourself through personalized service, expert product knowledge, and creative design solutions. Champion the customer journey : deliver warm, solution-based experiences that help turn “dreams into beautiful rooms.”

What You Bring:

Proven track record in sales (2+ years required, furniture/home décor sales a plus) Strong interior design sense or prior design project experience Demonstrated experience managing or leading a team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to interpret floor plans, space plan, and guide custom orders Comfort working weekends and retail hours Highly organized with a detail-focused mindset Tech-savvy enough to work with CRM/sales tracking and point-of-sale tools
