Wednesday Job Description:

Sohns Appliance Center is seeking a friendly and customer-oriented Appliance Sales Representative to join our team in our new location in Poughkeepsie, NY. If you have a passion for providing excellent customer service and enjoy working in a specialized retail environment, we want to hear from you! You would begin training at our Walden, NY location, and then transfer to our Poughkeepsie location upon our opening in the fall of 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and assist customers in selecting appliances that meet their needs and preferences. Answer phones and respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Take service calls and coordinate with service to address customer issues. Sell appliances through various channels including in-person, over the phone, and via email. Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of our product offerings and stay updated on the latest trends and features. Work closely with the Sales Manager to meet sales targets and provide feedback on customer preferences and market trends.

Compensation:

Hourly pay plus a 1% commission on all sales, paid out weekly. Eligibility to collect manufacturer spiffs for selling certain products. Submit manufacturer spiffs to earn additional bonus incentives for selling specific products.

Qualifications:

Previous sales experience is preferred but not required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Basic computer skills and proficiency in using email. High school diploma or equivalent. Reliable transportation to and from work.
