Metals USA is a solid, growth oriented, carbon steel (plate, beam and tube) distribution center servicing the defense, commercial, construction, aerospace and fabrication industries.

Responsibilities:

Generates value added business and introduces products to established clients with the coordination of the Outside Sales Representative. Maintains key customers to ensure a continued base of profitable industrial business. Identifies the target lead decision maker in order to initiate the sale. Provides profitable transactional business through solicitation, quoting, email or other tools to grow the business. Estimates & quotes customer projects; plans and executes the sales plan; responds to the customer’s request and collaborates with cross-functional departments to ensure timely delivery of customer product.

Physical Demands:

Occupation requires being sedentary greater than or equal to 80% of the time (> 7 hours per day) Sitting, standing, hearing, talking, handling/fingering, reach outward, reach above shoulder, walk, climb, squat or kneel, bend Lift, carry, push and/or pull up to a maximum of 25 pounds without assistance. Regularly required to work on multiple concurrent tasks with constant interruptions Position requires some limited travel

Work Environment:

May be exposed to some of the following working conditions. Position works primarily in an office/cubicle environment. Constant Telephone Activity; must have a high comfort level of initiating conversation Moderate noise levels Dust, fumes and airborne particles When travel is required, will be exposed to varying outdoor weather conditions

Requirements:

Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Construction Management or related field. Three to Five year of industrial sales experience; preferably in structural steel/ fabrication sales Ability to communicate effectively with professional demeanor to ensure sales success Ability to learn new skills and technology Metals USA offers a competitive starting hourly range of $ 28.75 – 30.00 and benefits plus upward mobility professional growth.
