Vermeer North Atlantic Sales and Service – the exclusive Vermeer dealer/distributor for the Hudson Valley New York, New Jersey, and Eastern Pennsylvania regions – is looking to hire a Territory Sales Representative (Vermeer Industrial Equipment Specialist) to add to its already accomplished Middletown, PA team. This position will be rooted at our Middletown dealership; however, it will require the representative to travel 95% of the time in their assigned territory to meet with customers in the following counties: Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery.

YOU ARE THE PERFECT CANDIDATE FOR THIS ROLE IF YOU

– Have a background in Territory Sales 2-5 years. (preferred) Live within the assigned territory. Are a self-starter – you like getting out there, working with people, “hunting” for new customers, and taking great care of existing ones. This is a “tow and show” position, demonstrating equipment, solving problems, and offering solutions, not a desk job or in dealership passive selling. Enjoy the construction industry and working outdoors. Are able to load, transport, operate and demonstrate a diverse line of equipment. Can identify customers’ needs and react appropriately while understanding the market conditions and local competitor pricing. Can provide key account management – be responsible for all customers in the territory. Provide exceptional customer service before and after the sale. Are comfortable working independently and remotely. Have MS Word, Excel, Email, Math & CRM proficiency. Communicate professionally in person, by phone, text, or email, and have good presentation skills. Possess knowledge of construction and/or industrial equipment operation and applications. Have a valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a DOT medical card certification, plus an have an excellent driving record.

The more you sell the more you make! 3 to 6 months of paid training salary, (starting between $40-$50K for ramp up). Salary plus commission and full commission options are availble. Schedule:

Monday – Friday. Normal Schedule is 7:30am to 5:30pm. Occasional Special Event Attendance Required. Bi-weekly pay.

License/Certification:

Clean Driver’s License (Required). CDL License (A Plus)

Work Location:
