SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

United Alliance, is a fast-paced B2B media organization serving the printing, retail, travel and hospitality and nonprofit industries. We specialize in the creation and cross-channel distribution of exceptional content on print and digital platforms such as newsletters, magazines, podcasts, social media, and events. Our mission is to build community between the audiences and clients we serve.
NAPCO Media is seeking a detail-oriented, experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accountant job duties include, but are not limited to, general accounting, account reconciliation, journal entries, accounts receivable, accounts payable, expense containment, financial analysis, and assisting with the monthly financial statement preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare monthly financial statements package for NAPCO Media, LLC.
Assist in analyzing company revenue and expenses, including comparisons to budget and forecasted results and document reasons for variances monthly.
Assist in gathering information to prepare the annual budgeting process and work with the Association Accounting department.
Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
Prepare journal entries for monthly closing.
Review expense reports and record and reconcile company purchase card transactions.
Prepare commission reports for sales representatives.
Maintain fixed assets schedule.
Prepare general ledger entries by maintaining records and files.
Prepare and analyze account reconciliations.
Assist with audit preparation and participate in meetings with auditors.
Ad hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance
Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote environment.

Additional Information:

Remote, except when required to be in the Alliance office or at an Alliance or subsidiary company event.
