Are you a solutions-based sales professional focused on building long-term relationships, not short-term transactional sales? D&M Family of Companies is seeking a Business Development Representative to join within our growing sales team as we look for self-motivated, results driven personal to join! The Business Development Representative pursues new sales opportunities by providing progressive freight solutions through principles and relationships, to achieve universal prosperity. Develops, recommends, and implements sales programs designed to improve services, meet sales goals, and increase profitability. Assists in developing sales and marketing objectives/programs.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Identifies leads, calls on prospective customers within an assigned territory to meet sales targets. Gains the trust and respect of customer decision makers by applying transportation expertise to anticipate and solve their challenges. Develops mutually beneficial relationships with customers that include multiple points of contact between both D&M Family of Companies and the customer. Learns the customer’s business, competitive area, transportation needs and transportation selection process and serves as an expert advisor on business related matters. Learns and effectively communicates D&M Family of Companies value propositions to prospective customers. Assisting with new business deals by developing negotiating skills and integrating the requirements with operations. Communicates with management any customer issues and opportunities with appropriate team members to help resolve conflict. Strategizes with management to develop and assist potentially on annual contract reviews and negotiates implementation with customers. Integrates with management sharing strategies, techniques, and quality opportunities.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
1+ years of experience in sales or relevant industry experience Self-motivated and results driven. Must possess excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication (written and verbal), analytical, and decision-making skills. High level of cognitive and emotional intelligence. Ability to gain a strong understanding and working knowledge of the following areas:
