Position Summary:
As a Sales Development Representative, you will play a key role in generating and qualifying leads, building customer relationships and supporting our sales pipeline for international logistics services. You will collaborate with field sales, marketing, and operations to drive new business opportunities and help expand our market presence.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and qualify potential customers for international freight and logistics solutions through outbound calls, email outreach and social selling. Develop and implement strategies for outbound lead generation in collaboration with sales and marketing teams. Support inbound lead qualification and manage a pipeline of prospects in our CRM system. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trade lanes, service offerings and market trends to effectively communicate value and solution opportunities to prospects. Partner with field sales staff to develop customer-specific business plans and support the quoting and contracting processes. Prepare and follow up on spot rate quotes, contracts and customer proposals. Track and report sales activities, pipeline metrics and customer feedback.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred. 1-3 years of experience in sales, business development or customer service, ideally within logistics, freight forwarding, or transportation. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Must be comfortable with cold calling and digital outreach. Proactive, self-motivated and able to prioritize workload independently. Familiarity with CRM systems and Microsoft 365. Experience with logistics sales tools is a plus. Must be a team player committed to a culture of continuous customer care and attention to detail.
