Thegeography includes the following locations:
Charleston, WV Executebrand strategy and tactics in field, sales performance, effectivelymanage assigned territory and targeted accounts, build strongcustomer relationships and customer needs solving capability tomaximize short and long term sales performance placing the patientinto the center of any efforts and operating within AbbViesbusiness code of conduct, policies and all applicable laws andregulations. Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financialtargets, marketing objectives, etc. in order to meet or exceed onthose objectives. Create pre-call plan using SMART objectives andexecute post-call evaluation in order to continuously improve salesperformance. Effectively handle objections, misunderstandings,concerns and consistently gain logical and reasonable calls toaction in order to close on every sales call. Proactively andcontinuously aspire to serve customer needs, customer expectationsand challenges in order to build trusted customer relationships andto achieve win-win agreements between AbbVie and customers. Developand execute a call plan that achieves set call metrics andoptimizes coverage and frequency to key customers in order tomaximize access and sales opportunities. Continuously buildunderstanding on customer needs and expectations, territory marketlandscape, competitors, market segments/dynamics, accounts,disease, product, clinical and sales expertise and share thismarket intelligence information with in-field team, brand team andsales manager to achieve alignment, to anticipate environmentalchanges and challenges and to optimize brand strategy and itsexecution. Differentiate AbbVies value proposition with healthproviders assigned and identify, develop and maintain disease stateexperts and speakers/advocates in order to maximize brandperformance. Driving a personal auto or company car or truck, or apowered piece of material handling equipment.
Valid driverslicense:
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test andmeet safe driving requirements. Qualifications Bachelors degree inhealth, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field preferred orrelevant and equivalent industry experience required Relevant andequivalent industry experience required in lieu of a bachelorsdegree is at least five (5) years of experience with three (3) ormore years of experience within the pharmaceutical/health/scienceindustry preferred and a high school diploma/GED requiredProactively identifies customer style / behavior and adapts quicklyall aspects of selling approach. Offers innovative ideas andsolutions to maximize business opportunities to address challenges.
Understands and leverages findings to develop sales strategies.
Demonstrates in-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, andcompetitive knowledge and is recognized as an expert resource byall relevant stakeholders. Strong business acumen and proficientuse of business tools; possesses strategic and critical thinkingcapabilities. Operates effectively in a matrix environment.
Provides impact with ideas for the larger organization andanticipates and responds to changes. Influences others & is viewedas a credible and respected role model and resource among peers.
Builds collaborative partnership with district colleagues andmatrix team, etc. Leads by example; Consistently displays positivebehaviors and peer coaching through changing and challengingenvironments. Documented success in leadership and support role ofincreased responsibility at the district, region and/ororganizational levels.
Preferred:
Proven track record of success insales performance within respective therapeutic areas. Commercialpharmaceutical industry experiences such as physician/account basedselling, training, managed health care or marketing preferred.
English language proficiency verbally and in writing (for allnon-English speaking countries). An essential requirement of yourposition is to satisfy all applicable health care industryrepresentative (HCIR) credentialing requirements to gain andmaintain entry into facilities and organizations that are in yourassigned territory. You must also be in good standing and/oreligible to obtain these credentials. These HCIR credentialingrequirements may include, but are not limited to, backgroundchecks, drug screens, proof of immunization/vaccination for variousdiseases, fingerprinting and specific licenses required byindividual state or cities. Please remember that you are solelyresponsible for ensuring that you satisfy all HCIR credentialingrequirements and for any associated liability for failing to do so.

Individualcompensation paid within this range willdepend on many factors including geographic location, and we mayultimatelypay more or less than the posted range. This range may bemodified in the future. This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentiveprograms.
