Ingevity is seeking a driven and customer-focused Sales Representative to support our automotive activated carbon business across the USMCA region. This role will manage all aspects of our Automotive Carbon Sheet (ACS) portfolio, from pricing and costing to inventory and production planning, while supporting our broader automotive activated carbon and honeycomb product lines. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment, build strong customer relationships, and serve as a vital link between Ingevity and our automotive clients.

How You Will Impact Ingevity:

Cultivate strong relationships with customers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction and issue resolution. Gain and apply a solid understanding of Ingevity’s product benefits to effectively communicate value to customers. Track and report market trends, customer insights, and industry drivers through call reports, customer profiles, and monthly summaries. Gather and maintain accurate customer forecasts to support production and supply chain planning. Prepare and deliver pricing letters, quotes, and cost analyses to support commercial decisions. Oversee the ACS product lifecycle from production to sale, including inventory control and cost modeling. As needed, assist with accounts receivable follow-up, quality concerns, product/process changes, and other customer-facing communications. What You Need to

Succeed:

Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus Minimum 3 years of experience in sales, account management, or product management, preferably in chemicals, materials, or automotive sectors Familiarity with activated carbon or performance materials is highly desirable Experience working across US, Canadian, and/or Mexican markets is a plus Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand cost structures and develop customer pricing strategies Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills Comfortable working cross-functionally with technical, supply chain, finance, and customer service teams Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with CRM or ERP systems preferred Fluency in English required; Spanish language skills are a plus

Travel Requirements:
