Due to continued growth and expansion, our corporately owned Columbia branch is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth in this flagship market.
Position Summary:
The Business Development Manager is responsible for generating new business through proactive outside sales efforts, including prospecting, pipeline development, and client onboarding. This role focuses on medium-sized businesses (50+ employees), engaging primarily with mid- to senior-level decision-makers. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a consultative sales approach and a strong drive to achieve results.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Planning & Execution Develop and implement a strategic sales plan aligned with company objectives. Set and achieve prospecting, pipeline, and revenue goals. Prospecting & Lead Generation Identify and target potential clients through networking, market research, and outreach. Conduct cold calls, send introductory emails, and distribute marketing materials. Schedule and attend introductory meetings with qualified prospects. Pipeline & Opportunity Management Qualify leads by understanding their business needs and aligning them with AtWork’s staffing solutions. Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients using CRM tools. Track activity and progress in line with company sales metrics. Sales Presentations & Proposals Prepare customized proposals and pricing strategies in collaboration with management. Deliver persuasive presentations to prospective clients. Handle objections, negotiate terms, and close deals using a consultative sales approach. Collaboration & Account Transition Partner with internal teams to ensure a seamless handoff of new accounts to service staff. Monitor client satisfaction and identify opportunities for expansion or improvement. Client Relationship Management Maintain ongoing communication with clients to ensure satisfaction and identify new staffing needs. Build lasting relationships that promote repeat business and long-term partnerships.
Qualifications:
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management abilities. Proficient with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office Suite. Comfortable engaging with business leaders and decision-makers.
