Job Description

Sales Representative Apex Moving + Storage 120 Timberline Drive, Spring Hill, TN 37174 Overview We are seeking a high-energy, relationship-focused Outside Sales Representative to actively represent our company in the field. Based near Spring Hill, TN, this role is responsible for building new client relationships, nurturing leads, and driving sales through face-to-face interactions, business visits, and community engagement. This is a growth-focused, boots-on-the-ground sales position that works in tandem with our Inside Sales team to expand brand visibility and customer reach. Basic Responsibilities:

Conduct door-to-door and business-to-business visits across Spring Hill, Columbia, Franklin, Thompson’s Station, and surrounding areas to introduce our services and generate leads—showcasing Excellence in professionalism and preparation. Develop and nurture strong relationships with prospects and clients, delivering value and solutions through in-person conversations (Community & Integrity). Schedule and attend follow-up meetings, walkthroughs, or consultations, often in coordination with the Inside Sales team—showcasing your ability to work collaboratively and Inclusively. Participate in local networking events, business meetups, and chamber functions to increase brand visibility and trust within the local community (Community & Innovation). Distribute marketing materials, flyers, and business cards in strategic areas, ensuring consistent brand representation and Excellence in visual presentation. Cold knock and prospect new businesses, working from a mix of provided leads and self-sourced opportunities—leveraging Innovation and curiosity in your approach. Keep detailed records of all outreach, contacts, and follow-ups using CRM software, maintaining a high level of data accuracy and Integrity. Provide ongoing feedback to leadership on prospect trends, local business needs, and community insights—helping innovate and refine our sales strategy. Collaborate with the Inside Sales team on lead handoffs, appointment setting, and customer transition into service—working as one team with a shared goal.

Basic Requirements:

2+ years of experience in outside sales, field marketing, or a customer-facing business development role. Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to self-manage and prioritize routes, schedules, and targets. Confidence with door knocking, cold approaches, and initiating conversations. Strong organizational skills with CRM and note-keeping habits (Excellence). Ability to drive daily across the Middle TN region—Spring Hill and surrounding areas required. Professional demeanor with a passion for helping people and problem-solving (Community & Integrity). Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and proof of insurance.

Work Environment:

90% field-based with frequent travel within Spring Hill, Franklin, Columbia, Thompson’s Station, and nearby areas. Occasional office days for meetings, coordination, and professional development. Flexible schedule to accommodate community events and optimal outreach hours. Reports to the Sales Manager, with collaborative touchpoints with the Inside Sales and Customer Service teams. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): New Lead Generation
