Since then, we have expanded our services to children and adolescents with severe emotional disorders across Middle and East Tennessee. Our sole purpose is to support and treat those challenged with serious mental illness and poverty. Although based out of Nashville, we serve several communities across middle and East Tennessee with satellite offices in Antioch, Gallatin, Dickson, Columbia, Cleveland, Murfreesboro, Clarksville, Cookeville, Chattanooga, and Memphis. Pos i tion Summ a r y : The Business Development Coordinator is responsible for driving referral growth and maintaining strong relationships with key community partners such as hospitals, clinics, schools, and social service agencies. This role supports the organization’s growth goals by executing strategic outreach, supporting field-level engagement, and ensuring high standards of professionalism and responsiveness. The coordinator also assists with special projects and internal coordination to ensure business development efforts are aligned and efficient.

Generate Referral Growth:

Conducts targeted outreach to assigned territories to increase admissions, including prospecting, presenting MHC’s value to community partners, hosting events, and maintaining an effective call cycle and territory plan. 2.

Territory Management and Partner Engagement:

Meets regularly with site supervisors and MHC staff in assigned territories to align efforts, troubleshoot referral pipeline challenges, and share relevant partner feedback. 3.

Accountability and Goal Tracking:

Meets bi-weekly with the VP of Business Development to review performance metrics, update action plans, and identify improvement opportunities. 4.

Problem Solving and Partner Retention:

Assists in resolving partner issues, maintaining high-touch responsiveness, and reinforcing MHC’s reputation as a preferred integrated health partner. 5.

Cross-Functional Coordination:

Collaborates across departments to ensure timely handoffs, partner updates, and strong alignment between outreach and service delivery. 6.

Support of Strategic Projects:

Assists with coordination of business development efforts such as event logistics, partner communications, playbook development, and CRM-related tasks. Report all unsafe practices or accidents to supervisor, Safety Supervisor and/or OSHA Coordinator Will be compliant with the relevant regulations concerning the privacy and security of consumer’s protected health information (PHI) as established by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals Perform other duties as assigned Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill Follow all policies and procedures set by the Agency E sse n t i a l S k i l l s a nd E x pe r i e n c e : Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in healthcare or human services. Strong relationship-building and communication skills with professionals and community partners. Confident presenting to groups and decision-makers. Organized, highly self-motivated, and goal oriented. Experience with CRM tools and data tracking preferred.
