Title:

Billing Manager Purpose of the

Job:

Oversee the intake and conflicts processes to ensure efficient, accurate, and compliant operations; serve as the primary liaison for legal teams; implement and quality-control procedures; and learn and lead the client rates process, escalating issues to the Billing Manager as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Process Management o Oversee day-to-day operations of the intake and conflicts roles. o Ensure workflows function smoothly, efficiently, and error-free. 2. Quality Control and Compliance o Apply rigorous quality control measures to verify procedures are followed accurately. o Monitor, audit, and refine processes regularly to maintain firm compliance and effectiveness. 3. Stakeholder Communication o Serve as the first point of contact for legal teams on intake and conflicts inquiries. o Communicate proactively to resolve issues in a timely manner. 4. Collaboration and Process Improvement o Partner with the Billing Manager and team to implement process improvements and uphold best practices. o Learn and assume leadership responsibilities for the client rates process. 5. Leadership and Training o Provide training and guidance to team members to support growth and operational excellence. o Lead team meetings and escalate issues to the Billing Manager as needed.

Required Qualifications:

1. Education o Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, or a related field. 2. Experience o Minimum of 3 years’ experience in legal operations, conflicts, intake, or client onboarding systems. 3. Skills o Strong attention to detail, communication, interpersonal, leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with the ability to learn and lead new processes.

Physical Requirements:

1. Ability to sit at a workstation and use a computer for extended periods. 2. Occasional lifting and carrying of items weighing up to 15 pounds.

Performance Measures:

1. Goals o Maintain 99% intake and conflicts processing accuracy. o Resolve 95% of inquiries within 24 hours. o Implement at least two process improvements annually. 2. Competencies o Demonstrate effective team leadership and communication. o Exhibit strong process management and quality control capabilities.

Working Conditions:

1. Standard office environment in downtown Atlanta, GA, Monday-Friday. 2. Occasional overtime to meet critical deadlines.
