That’s about 8 sales per month. Our average commission per sale is $5,000. No base salary because our reps want the full upside. Position Summary As a Solar Sales Consultant, you’ll run scheduled consultations with homeowners who are considering going solar. You’ll guide them through a structured process that includes a custom savings design, answering questions about solar technology, and helping them decide if it’s a good fit for their goals. This role requires strong communication skills, commitment to the process, and the discipline to follow through. Key Responsibilities Sales Consultations Attend schedule and attend 12-18 scheduled qualified appointments per week Deliver customized solar proposals using tools like Aurora and Subhub Lead homeowners through their options, incentives, and long-term savings Handle common objections with clarity, patience, and transparency Close deals and submit contracts for onboarding Track all appointment results, leads, and opportunities in the CRM Follow up on open quotes and consultations through text, phone, or email Manage your personal sales pipeline with daily and weekly metrics Training and Development Complete Cleanstart’s structured 4-week sales and training program Participate in live consultations and shadow top-performing consultants Attend weekly team calls, workshops, and 1-on-1 coaching sessions Continuously refine your close rate, target KPIs, and pitch skills Role Targets & Income Potential Average commission per deal: $5,000 Target close rate: 40-50% Target appointments/week: 15+ Target sales/week: 5 Top reps: $20,000-$25,000 in commissions per week First-year goal: $100,000+ (with full participation in the training program) We provide the system. The income comes down to your effort, mindset, and consistency. What We’re Looking For No solar experience needed—we train from the ground up Previous sales experience is helpful, but not required Must be coachable , disciplined , and able to handle rejection Must be comfortable with commission-only pay and flexible hours Strong verbal communication skills and emotional intelligence A genuine interest in helping people understand solar, not pressure them Willing to work when homeowners are available—afternoons, evenings, and Saturdays What We Provide Paid training: $100 per appointment while in onboarding Structured 4-week training curriculum to build elite-level closers Industry-leading tools, technology, and sales systems A high-trust, no-BS culture of performance, professionalism, and team support Direct mentorship from Cleanstart leadership and top closers Compensation This is a commission-only role. There is no base salary because we pay far more per sale than typical roles. This model is designed for professionals who want uncapped earning potential.
