FUNCTIONS

The primary responsibilities and duties of the VA are, but not limited to: Must be punctual and work as scheduled and assist with all opening and closing procedures with fellow team members. Offer a high level of prompt and friendly service to each and every customer. Promote products and store events, keeping our customers informed of product promotions, relevant classes and educational opportunities at the store. Use product knowledge, product information and available resources to educate customers and assist them in making product selections that are right for them. Receive, and unload product orders when assigned by the DM. Create and maintain department displays showing accurately priced merchandise. Maintain vitamin department inventory at levels set by the Store Manager (“SM”) and the DM. Maintain vigilance for potential shoplifting. Seek out and assist customers to provide product information assistance when not busy with other customers. Ensure vitamin department remains properly faced and fronted throughout the day paying particular attention to code dates. Seek out opportunities for on-going supplement industry education both in-store and on your own. Any other duties as may be assigned by the DM, SM or manager in charge. Pay Rate based on Experience

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of a High School Diploma or General Educational Development (“GED”)

Experience:

Minimum one year experience within the vitamins and supplements industry required Operating a cash register and processing payments.

Knowledge:

Strong working knowledge of vitamins and supplements and their applicable use. Basic knowledge of POS systems.

Skills & Abilities:

Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills enabling effective interaction with customers, vendors and clients. Ability to perceive the needs of customers, vendors and others through conversational interaction. Demonstrate good judgment in resolving customer and vendor problems. Maintain cooperative working relationship with all employees. Eager to learn and willing to assist in other departments. Has a passion for healthy living. Ability to prioritize assigned tasks. Strong attention to detail. Ability to multitask.
