The Counter Sales position provides excellent service to customers primarily via counter sales, and phone, email / online, scanner, and fax communication. The Counter Sales position provides branch operations assistance through merchandising by stocking, picking, pulling, and on time will call assistance. Additionally, the position provides support and information on product inquiry as well as damaged goods, product sold, or product returned. The position effectively utilizes its resources as it relates to company computer systems, online tools, and facility inventory. Essential Job Duties Customer Interaction Provides excellent customer service through timely customer interaction, problem resolution or escalation with effective and efficient follow-up. Promptly responds to customer inquiries via phone, email, or fax with courtesy in a professional demeanor Processes customer requests for pricing, information, and availability regarding products Processes customer orders for products both in stock and special order Coordinates scheduling of customer deliveries as needed Follows up with customers regarding special orders, back orders, and will calls as needed Provides timely response to business related incoming phone calls, faxes, scans, and emails / online as needed Fills sales orders for product and distributes items to shipping or will call as needed Establishes and maintains professional business dealings with customers and vendors at all times Supports valued business relationships in all dealings with related departments aiming to resolve customer and other issues in a timely manner.
