Operations Job Purpose:
The Direct Ship Hub Team Lead oversees and assists with the day-to-day activities of assigned department and Team Members, as instructed by the Assistant Direct Ship Hub Manager. The DSH Team Lead acts as a “player-coach,” monitoring and assisting the work of Warehouse Team Members performing a variety of duties in the warehouse. The DSH Lead also assists with implementing work procedures to improve Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and Morale within the operation.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Champion, promote, encourage, and emulate the XLP/TPH Vision, Mission and Core Values Ensures all KPI goals are met and or exceeded. Oversee and assist with the day-to-day activities of assigned department and Team Members, as instructed by management. Assist with evaluating the performance of team members. Provide training, coaching, feedback, motivation, leadership, and guidance for all assigned Team Members assigned. Provide Team Member performance feedback to management. Champion a safe and clean working environment. Monitor Team Member actions to ensure compliance of all company policies and procedures. Delegate and assigns job task and coordinate the workflow within the department. Champion continuous improvement opportunities within the department Act as the Subject Matter Expert and process owner for all functions within the assigned department. Ensure the proper use and accountability of all tools and equipment. Assist with picking, packing, receiving, stocking, loading, unloading, and or inventory control functions as needed. (Manage your specific work group and assist other departments when applicable) All other duties as required and assigned
Requirements:
High School diploma or GED.
Lead experience:
1 year Warehouse experience: 1 year Able to adapt to expected and unexpected changes in the work environment. Able to speak clearly and persuasively, listen carefully and respond accordingly, participate in meetings, and read and interpret information. Observe safety and security procedures, determine appropriate action beyond guidelines, and report potentially unsafe conditions and use equipment and materials in a safe and proper manner.
Preferred Experience:
Lead experience: 3 years Warehouse experience: 3 years
WMS and ERP Experience:
1 year
Continuous Improvement Experience:
1 year Associate degree

Environmental/Occupational Health and Physical Requirements:
Typical 9-hour day to include reaching, standing, walking, kneeling, lifting and carrying while working around powered equipment and/or conveyor systems. To perform the duties of this job the employee must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment. The heavy lifting of 50lbs or more may be required.
