The Veterans Transition Program is designed to support veterans in making the transition from military life to the civilian workforce. The Program offers participants the opportunity to work at the world’s largest asset manager for six months. On completion of the Program, successful participants will be offered permanent employment at BlackRock.

  • Program Structure:
  • The program begins with an orientation where you’ll learn about BlackRock’s principles, mission, purpose, and culture.

You’ll learn about the asset management industry and get an in-depth look at how BlackRock serves its clients. Following orientation, you’ll join your team and gain insights into the day-to-day life of an Associate as you develop subject-matter expertise through on-the-job learning and our industry-leading technology, Aladdin.

Representing a full suite of strategies from iShares ETFs, Alternatives, Mutual Funds to SMAs and sub-advisory relationships. USWA’s mandate is to deliver One BlackRock to third-party intermediaries like RIA’s and Financial Advisors from wirehouse, regional and independent firms.

  • BlackRock is seeking Market Sales Partner (MSP)/Internal Wholesaler to join our US Wealth Advisory team.

This role partners with our Market Leader/External Wholesaler to build relationships with clients in an assigned territory and drive sales through multiple channels, including RIAs, Wirehouses and Independent Broker Dealers. The Market Sales Partner will deliver market, product and portfolio insights to Financial Advisors and collaborate with other sales professionals to develop deep and lasting client relationships. Further, they will be expected to partner with Market Leaders to drive results and have working knowledge across the entire breadth of BlackRock’s solution sets (ETFs, Mutual Funds, SMA, Alternatives, Model Portfolios, etc.). + Develop deep relationships across all aspects of an advisor’s business + Deliver fiduciary and investment insights through portfolio construction conversations + Proactively position and differentiate BlackRock and our investment products against competitor firms and products to Financial Advisors + Build an efficient and thoughtful strategy to maximize engagement and influence + Expand existing client base by uncovering investment needs and presenting solutions + Identify and pursue new opportunities by client profiling, lead identification, and follow-up activity + Be consultative business partners to help advisors navigate markets, portfolios, business issues, etc. + Embrace the firm’s commitment to the client experience and exceed client expectations + Partner and collaborate with colleagues across the organization to deliver all of BlackRock’s resources and solutions to clients

  • Qualifications:
  • + BA/BS degree or equivalent experience required + 2+ years of experience in mutual fund or brokerage industry required +
FINRA Licenses:

SIE, Series 7 & 66 (63 & 65 in lieu) required or obtained within licensing time frame during the program + Knowledge of investment trends and advisor practices + Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to engage with key partners and to present sales materials and provide technical information regarding our products + Ability to work in team environment while being a driven self-starter + Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask and work under tight time constraints + Desire to have a “Sales as a Destination” career with upward mobility in client facing sales roles + Proven MS Office skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook + Experience with web-based technology + Clean U-4
