Recycle Team Leader – Night Shift
Description Recycling Team Leader Job Summary:
The Recycling Team Leader will oversee the day-to-day activities of the recycling area.
Team Leader’s Responsibilities:
Trains recycling associates, and other recycling operations employees.
Conducts observations that are timely and constructive.
Team Leader Responsibilities:
Managing the day-to-day activities of the team.
Motivating the team to achieve organizational goals.
Developing and implementing a timeline to achieve targets.
Delegating tasks to team members on all shifts.
Conducting training of team members to maximize their potential on all shifts.
Empowering team members with skills to improve their confidence, product knowledge, and communication skills.
Conducting quarterly forklift driving skills.
Contributing to the growth of the company through a successful team.
Creating a pleasant working environment that inspires the team.
Conducting training of all associates on the Baler Machine
Team Leaders are to be trained on the Baler Machine
Conducting training of all associates on the Forklift
Team Leaders are to be trained on the Forklift
Conducting training of all associates on the Compactor/Pre-Crusher Compactor
Team Leaders are to be trained on the Compactor / Pre-Crusher Compactor
Conducting training of all associates on Changing the Receiver’s Boxes on the Compactor/Pre-Crusher Compactor
Team Leaders are to be trained on the Policy concerning the Receiver’s Box
Conducting training of all associates on Baling the Plastics, Brown Papers
Team Leaders are to be trained on the Mini Baler and the Big Baler Machine
Communicate with the Trash Haulers on expectations for the day
Track daily how many times the Trash Haulers removed the Receiver’s Boxes
Train all new associates on all machines
Train all associates on new machines
Work in the Recycle Area when short staff
Complete all Incident’s Report when accidents or near miss occur
Train associates to load the trucks: Gerdau, Plastic Truck, Bale brown papers, Bale cardboard boxes
Inspect all associates for PPE
Schedule lunch/breaks
If associates take longer breaks/lunch report to Manager
Start up Meeting at the beginning of each shift
Check Attendance daily and report Absent associate(s)
Inspect the Recycle Area daily
Inspect the Outside area in the Recycle Area
Inspect all Receiver’s Boxes to ensure opening is cover
Review SOP weekly
Complete a SOP Training weekly with Recycle associates
When an accident or near miss, complete the re-training
Report on when associates are late to work, breaks, lunch
Send a message to the Recycle Supervisor /
Recycle Assistant Manager Team Leader Requirements:
High school diploma or similar.
Minimum of 1 years’ experience.
On-the-job training.
Excellent communication skills.
Confidence and skillful negotiating skills.
Strong organizational skills to give the team direction.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing and carrying materials.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds at a time.
Forklift experience up to 1 years
