You will be responsible for maintaining the produce department, providing excellent customer service, and assisting customers with their selections. Your ability to communicate effectively and provide knowledgeable assistance will enhance the shopping experience for our patrons. Duties Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating and selecting produce items. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the produce section, ensuring all items are well-stocked and visually appealing. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and restocking of fresh produce. Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately while providing excellent customer service. Provide information on produce items, including pricing, freshness, and preparation tips to enhance customer satisfaction. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations within the department. Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to produce quality or availability. Qualifications Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members. Previous experience in customer service or retail sales is preferred. Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is a plus. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A positive attitude and willingness to learn about various types of produce. Basic knowledge of phone etiquette for customer inquiries is beneficial. Must be able to lift and move products as required in the produce department.
