• Job Description:

• We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Counter Person at our lumberyard. As a Counter Person, you will be responsible for assisting customers with their lumber and building material needs, processing orders, and providing excellent customer service.

• Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Answer inquiries and provide information about products, prices, and availability
• Process sales transactions accurately using our POS system
• Prepare orders for customers and coordinate with the warehouse team for pick-up or delivery
• Maintain a clean and organized counter area
• Keep track of inventory levels and communicate any shortages to management
• Assist with other duties as needed, including stocking shelves and performing inventory counts

• Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a customer service or retail environment preferred
• Knowledge of lumber and building materials is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Basic math skills and proficiency with computers
• Physical ability to lift and carry heavy objects
