We have a wide selection of the best and newest products along with fresh house-made items. We are proud to provide fresh, local and Organic produce, many delivered straight from farm to our Produce department. We are currently looking for a motivated individual with a great personality and work ethic to join our fun Produce team. The right candidate should be a strong fit with our team, provide top-notch customer service, knowledge and willingness to learn. While stocking and keeping the department full is one of the most important jobs, there is much to offer our customers. We have an outstanding and growing Value Added program of house-made items such as cut fruit, salsas, guacamole and cold-pressed juices and creativity that brings so much more. Come and join not only a “fresh” start but an exciting team! We are currently seeking either full or part-time and looking for open availability. This includes opening (6 a.m.-2 p.m.); Mid-shift (9 a.m.-5 p.m.) and closing (12 p.m. – 8 p.m.).

Produce Clerk Responsibilities:

Providing excellent customer service, including greeting customers and assisting them with any needs. Filling and rotating produce items, maintaining inventory levels and stock conditions. Making sure all produce on the floor is always fresh, removing what isn’t top quality and also checking for expired products. Keeping the department fronted and full while checking all conditions during shift, including keeping the wet wall sprayed and ice bins full. Maintaining cleanliness, including sweeping, wiping down shelves. P.M. shift will make sure some items are pulled at night and refrigerated before closing. Unloading products from trucks, breaking down pallets and separating produce between sales floor and cooler. Always using proper rotation management. Processing and producing Value Added In-House Items. (Fresh cut fruit and vegetables, house-made salsas, dips etc. Knife and kitchen skills are a plus as our Produce department does a lot of production and cut items. Setting up, maintaining or taking down produce displays. Should be methodical and comfortable with knife skills for cutting fruit and vegetables during prep work. Knowledge of juicing and following recipes. Assisting in other duties as assigned. Helping maintain a warm and safe shopping environment for our customers. Following all health regulations and safety standards.

Job Qualifications:

• Attention to detail are required and experience in a commercial kitchen is preferred.

• Must be able to clean and maintain equipment as well as department while following all health regulations.
