Express Employment Professionals is hiring a/ Production Shift Leader for a local Manufacturing Company in Kodak, TN.Production shift leader Responsibilities
- Responsible for participating, delegating, directing, and verifying that all production related tasks are assigned and completed for your department and oversight of applicable associates
- Responsible for reviewing and ensuring proper Safety supplies (PPE) are in stock, available to associates and are used per requirements
- Responsible for reviewing and ensuring your department achieves acceptable 5S housekeeping with continuous improvement
- Responsible to review and ensure the schedule is complete and followed for product daily to ensure best profit rate; minimize labor; improve product flow; etc..
- Responsible for reviewing and ensuring proper loading/setting/desetting/packing/labeling/unloading methods and work instructions are available and utilized for applicable areas.
Production shift leader Qualifications
- Must work to ensure staff are following all safety items
- Must participate and lead safety initiatives throughout the plant
- must be able to wear a respirator, be confined space, lock-out/tag-out, and forklift trained as needed
- must be able to work and handle chemicals in a safe manner
- must be willing to have a positive attitude and “lead by example” for all associates
- must be able to operate plant software as required
- must be actively participate in discussions with vendors, customers process improvements
- must have ability to work well with others coordinating and prioritizing multiple jobs
- must have good analytical skills, and good written and verbal communication skills
- must have a record of dependability and good attendance
- must be willing to work overtime, weekends, off shifts, or holidaysProduction shift leader
