In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the southern territory, ranging from Biloxi, MS to Panama City Beach, FL., through nurturing existing customer relationships, and promoting the portfolio of industrial compressed air systems and related products. This position is ideal for a self-starter with a strong mechanical aptitude, a passion for solution-based selling, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Responsibilities
- Achieve and exceed sales goals through new customer acquisition and account retention
- Deliver customized solutions by understanding each customer’s unique operational needs
- Prepare and present product/service proposals, pricing, and value-based recommendations
- Negotiate terms and close sales with decision-makers in industrial and commercial applications
- Conduct in-person sales calls and deliver impactful presentations to demonstrate product capabilities
- Collaborate with OEMs, engineers, and technical staff to clarify specifications and project needs
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery, installation, and service of systems
- Maintain accurate sales activities, leads, and opportunities in CRM (P21 (Epicor) or Tribute CRM)
- Continuously monitor local market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities
- Develop deep, long-term relationships with customers by understanding their business drivers
- Provide progress reporting, forecasting, and sales pipeline updates to leadership
Experience:
(Must have) 3-5+ years of B2B outside sales experience in manufacturing industrial equipment, ideally in compressed air systems, pumps, motors, etc.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Skilled in solution-based or consultative selling.
- Experience selling into automotive, food/beverage, or pharmaceutical environments is highly preferred. (Must have) Strong understanding of mechanical systems — industrial equipment, or technical products (Must have) Ability to read technical specs and translate them into solutions for the customer.
- Ability to identify trends, monitor competitor activity, and adapt strategies accordingly.
