Job Title:
Sales & Tech Advisor Job Summary:
Sales & Tech Advisors are responsible for generating new business by identifying, pursuing, and securing new customer opportunities in their designated territory. Their primary focus is on prospecting leads, qualifying potential clients, and facilitating the initial sale and customer onboarding. Once a client relationship is established through the first successful transaction, the account is transferred to the appropriate Sales Account Manager for ongoing support and growth. Sales & Tech Advisors serve as the front-line experts in identifying market needs, educating potential clients on our offerings, and aligning solutions with the goals of educational institutions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
New Business Development:
Proactively research and identify new leads within assigned regions or customer segments (cold calling, emailing, networking, industry events). Initiate contact with prospects through various outreach methods and effectively communicate the value proposition of Archangel’s products and services. Schedule and conduct introductory meetings and product presentations with potential clients.
Sales Generation:
Qualify prospects based on budget, authority, need, and timeline. Generate and manage sales quotes and proposals tailored to prospect needs. Close the initial sale and facilitate onboarding in collaboration with internal teams.
Client Handoff & Transition:
Upon securing the first sale and building a foundational relationship, transition the client account to the appropriate Sales Account Manager. Ensure all relevant details, communications, and expectations are clearly documented and relayed for a seamless customer experience.
Technical Expertise & Support:
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all products and services to answer technical inquiries from potential clients. Collaborate with the technical team to provide tailored solutions for client needs during the pre-sale phase. Assist with product demos and training when applicable.
Market Intelligence & Strategy:
Report on emerging trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to Sales Management and Marketing. Recommend improvements to outreach strategies and promotional campaigns based on field insights. Track all lead activity, notes, and updates using the company CRM (Copper).
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong communication and presentation skills. Proven ability to prospect, qualify, and close new business. Technologically savvy, with the ability to explain and demo educational technology products. Self-motivated with a results-driven approach. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently while coordinating with cross-functional teams.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Technology, or related field preferred. roles. Experience in educational sales or EdTech is highly preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of working on a computer or making calls. Willingness to travel to client sites, conferences, or industry events as needed.
