06/11/2025 Belen Jesuit Preparatory School is currently accepting applications for a full-time Technical Support Assistant. This candidate reports directly to the Director of Technology and provides support for the use of computers and software to the administrative staff, faculty and students. The position is a 12-mont and exempt position with occasional evenings and weekends. The Technical Support Assistant will be evaluated annually by the Director of Technology. Term:
12-month, full-time, exempt position.
Functions include:
Provide excellent customer service by communicating with faculty, staff and students quickly and effectively.
Arrange for equipment setup and maintenance and software maintenance.
Install, configure, and upgrade computer hardware and attached peripherals.
Closely monitor and follow up on open and/or pending issues from the Help Desk and delegates to the appropriate member of the technology department or other department as needed.
Provide hardware and software training and support to the faculty and staff.
Participate in special projects to completion as assigned, e.g., the yearly student iPad deployment.
Remain current on new developments in hardware, software, networks, telecommunications, training and equipment maintenance.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
A minimum of an Associate’s Degree with a major emphasis on computer science or information systems.
macOS and iPadOS required, Jamf School and/or Mosyle Manager experience preferred and 1:1 rollout experience preferred.
knowledge of the Windows environment and Microsoft Office experience.
Knowledge of Google Workspace for Education.
Excellent collaborative and participative team-building skills.
Effective interpersonal communication and commitment to quality and service.
Attention to detail, high-energy, problem-solving capabilities and a respectful communication style.
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to multitask.
Ability to work collaboratively and provide information to individuals and groups.
Experience with local network support, tools and procedures is highly desirable.
Knowledge and experience with AV Systems.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
