- Your role and responsibilities
- A Brand Sales Specialist role within IBM zStack will make you a key enabler to how our clients are building modern, hybrid cloud solutions, and modernizing their applications whilst embedding AI into all transactions and operations.

- The z Stack Sales Representative is responsible for the overall sales strategy – from Opportunity Creation to Strategic Execution that drives closure of IBM z Stack solutions, which includes zSeries, LinuxONE and zSoftware, such as WatsonCode Assist.
- The z Stack Sales Representative will create and lead opportunity identification plans to successful grow the territory’s revenue objectives. This will include not only growing existing client sets, but an emphasis of establishing Net-New installs with LinuxONE and our corresponding software.
- The z Stack Sales Representative requires extensive knowledge of IBM’s portfolio, including IBM zSeries, LinuxONE and zSoftware.
- The z Stack Sales Representative must be comfortable developing materials and presenting to senior client executives, which can include the CIO, and senior level IT and Line of Business Executives. They are required to have a demonstrated understanding of the client’s business, goals, strategies as well as industry trends and directions.
- Required technical and professional expertise
- At least 5-years of experience in technology sales, preferably within IBM System Z, Linux or enterprise hardware & software sales.
- Proven track record of achieving revenue targets
- Proven track record of driving Opportunity Identification and Deal Closure within New Logos as well as growing existing clients.
- Sales and technology platform understanding of IBM System Z (HW/SW), Linux, and the competitive landscape of hybrid cloud technologies.
- Preferred technical and professional experience
- Experience selling to Public Sector accounts, which includes SLED and HCLS.
- Sales understanding for how to drive a value proposition, leveraging client projects, success criteria, use cases and competitive differentiation.
- Strong interpersonal relationship-building and executive communications skills.
