Work You’ll Do
As a Senior Consultant, you will be at the front lines with our clients, supporting them with their Cyber Risk needs, specifically helping them address data governance and compliance challenges using Microsoft Purview.
This will include:
Conducting analysis and recommendations for clients’ Microsoft Purview environments, including tools such as Data Loss Prevention, Data Security Investigations (preview), and Data Security Posture Management (preview).
Architecting, designing, and implementing large-scale data governance solutions using Microsoft Purview, including Information Barriers, Information Protection, and Insider Risk Management.
Performing technical health checks for Purview environments prior to broader deployments, focusing on Privileged Access Management and Audit capabilities.
Supporting proof of concept and production deployments of Microsoft Purview solutions, including Communication Compliance and Compliance Manager.
Assisting clients with transitions to Microsoft Purview services, including setting up data lifecycle management and eDiscovery configurations.
Assisting clients with integrating Microsoft Purview with other Microsoft security and compliance tools to enhance data governance and compliance strategies.
Assisting clients with data lifecycle management, including data retention, deletion, and archiving strategies using Microsoft Purview Data Lifecycle Management.
Assisting clients with configuration and delivery of Purview security and compliance reports and advanced threat protection capabilities.
Assisting clients manage their data estate, including data discovery, classification, and lineage tracking using Microsoft Purview tools.
Assisting clients with Microsoft best practices for data governance and compliance to improve security posture and reduce risk.
Assisting clients prepare their data governance strategies and perform regular compliance checks using Microsoft Purview Compliance Manager.
Monitoring the health of data governance policies and detecting and mitigating any compliance breaches using Microsoft Purview tools.
Assisting clients through mergers and acquisitions by integrating or segregating their data governance policies using Microsoft Purview.
Providing technical support for Microsoft Purview services and resolving service-related issues through research and troubleshooting.
Implementing industry-leading practices around data governance and compliance using Microsoft Purview.
Troubleshooting system-level problems in a multi-vendor, multi-protocol environment for Microsoft Purview.
Documenting platform technical issues, analysis, client communication, and resolution as part of cyber risk mitigation steps.
Executing on Microsoft Purview engagements during different phases of the lifecycle – assess, design, implementation, and post-implementation reviews.
Performing health checks, discovery, and cleanup of data governance and compliance infrastructure using Microsoft Purview tools.
Analyzing and reviewing data governance services such as data classification, labeling, and protection using Microsoft Purview.
Acting as a subject matter expert on cyber risk for the Microsoft Purview platform.
Contributing to eminence activities, such as whitepapers pertaining to Microsoft data governance technologies.
The Team
Enables trust and safety of online communications and digital products, protecting users, consumers, and patients from harm. Enables clients to provide consumer confidence in knowing with whom they are dealing and ensuring the integrity of access to data.
Required:
5+ years of experience in technical consulting, client problem-solving, architecting, and designing solutions around Microsoft data governance solutions (Microsoft Purview).
Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
Working experience in at least one of the areas listed below:
4+ years of hands-on technical experience with Microsoft data governance and compliance services (Microsoft Purview, data classification, labeling, protection, and integration with third-party solutions) in implementation and operations. This should include designing and implementing Purview for organizations, including integrations with applications.
4+ years of hands-on technical experience in data governance and compliance on Microsoft platforms. This should include designing and implementing data governance policies for organizations, including integrations with applications and compliance reporting.
B. Tech/BE/BCA/MCA Degree required. Ideally in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Security, Engineering, Information Technology.
Preferred:
3+ years of working with data governance protocols and frameworks.
3+ years of hands-on technical experience implementing data governance-focused security solutions for Microsoft technologies.
Certifications such as: Microsoft role-based certifications (e.g.,MS-102), CCSP, CCSK, CISSP, CCNP, CCNA, MCSE, MCSA certification a plus.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $118,700 – $218,600.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
