POSITION SUMMARY

Under general direction of the Director of Sales, Inside Technical Sales is responsible for customer and field rep support, providing technical assistance, sales quotes, and answering customer inquiries.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Evaluates customer needs and assists with product selection utilizing knowledge of engineering specifications and catalog resources. Develops, solicits, and closes new accounts, generates sales quotations, and handles customer inquiries. Follows up on open quotations. Develops and maintains favorable relationships with new and existing clients and contacts. Resolves customer issues and problems. Enters all new contacts and companies into CRM. Keeps Regional Sales Mangers aware of potential opportunities and issues.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION

AND/ OR EXPERIENCE

A 4-year technical degree or minimum 2-year AAS technical degree and 3-5 years sales experience in a technical or engineering environment.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Technical aptitude. Strong communication skills. Basic trouble shooting skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, Word, and Excel. Ability to work in engineering and production environment. Ability to manage multiple projects.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

EQUIPMENT TO BE USED

: Personal computers (Microsoft Products, MS Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, CRM and MRP). General office equipment (fax machine, copier).
