PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Performsadvanced technical/engineering problem solving in support of Powerplant operations. Responsible for technical decisions. Possessesexcellent knowledge in functional discipline and its practicalapplication and has detailed knowledge of applicable industry codesand regulations.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Performsadvanced technical/engineering problem solving in support of Solarsite operations. Responsible for technical decisions. Possessesexcellent knowledge in functional discipline and its practicalapplication and has detailed knowledge of applicable industry codesand regulations.
- Provide technical expertise and consultationthrough direct involvement to identify and resolve equipment andsystem problems.
- Provides initial or complete task management ofengineering issues.
- Perform engineering and technical tasks asassigned by supervision applying general engineering principles
- Accountable for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of workensuring proper configuration management and assuring that standarddesign criteria, practices, procedures and codes are used inpreparation of plans and specifications.
- Perform independentresearch, reviews, studies and analyses in support of technicalprojects and programs.
- Recommends equipment, new concepts andtechniques to improve performance, simplify construction, reducecosts, correct design or material flaws, or comply with changes incodes or regulations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diplomaand a minimum of 9 years power experience with 1 year as SeniorEngineering Analyst 3A
- 2-year technical degree (Comp Sci, CompSci Eng, Eng Tech, etc) and 8 years of power experience
- 4-yeartechnical degree AND 6 years of power experience.
- Has completedassigned skills and knowledge development training (applicableAdvanced Engineering, EPRI, and Constellation University trainingor industry provided training) to develop expert level of knowledgein designated areas.
Demonstrated ability to mentor other engineersin key knowledge and skills.
