Job Description
Technology Manager
- Pyrometallurgy, BASF Environmental Catalyst and Metal Solutions LLC, Seneca, SC.
Ensure that the sites pyrometallurgical process documentation is accurate and up to date. Maintain an asset improvement roadmap for pyrometallurgical processes including continuous improvement, OPEX, and CAPEX initiatives. Consult sites supporting and leading troubleshooting and optimization activities. Support the development and maintenance of appropriate recipes for different catalyst feeds into pyrometallurgical assets, including definitions of raw material specifications and impurity limits. Maintain a collaborative network of internal and external expertise with the aim of ensuring continuous learning and evaluation/implementation of best practices. Provide detailed input to process safety concepts and safety investigations. Collaborate with business managers to understand future capacity and capability needs.40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or arelated field, and seven (7) years of post-bachelor, progressive, related work experience.
Must have seven (7) years of experience with/in
- Manufacturing/technology experience in pyrometallurgical extraction of Platinum Group Metals (PGMs)
- Implementing the technology and asset strategy for the recycling of PGMs
- Maintaining a constant problem identification dialogue and delivering solutions
- Consulting with the sites on technology and process optimization measures, troubleshooting equipment and processes
- Participating in capital project development, ensuring alignment with internal and external best practices; and
- Supporting the commissioning and startup of new equipment and processes.
Up to 15% regional, domestic and international travel required.
