Job Description:
We are seeking a Telephone Sales Agent (TSA) to join our team. As a key member of the Eau Palm Beach team, you will play an essential role in delivering exceptional service to our guests, upholding the standards of our Forbes Five-Star resort. The TSA will be responsible for courteously greeting and answering incoming calls according to Forbes 5-Star Standards, including courteously answering guest questions and placing guest orders with the kitchen by communicating effectively. Additional responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, maintaining cleanliness of the office and department area at all times, assisting servers during down times, and assisting in monitoring the guests’ needs and all phases of the operation. The ideal candidate will assume responsibility regarding guest issues when Leader is not present, requesting the assistance of other Food & Beverage Leaders if and when necessary. This position is a FLEX (AM / PM) position, and all candidates must be able to work weekends, holidays, and nights. We have a part-time position available.
Essential Qualifications:
Ability to communicate with proper grammar in English. Ability to provide legible communication. Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations. 0-1 years’ experience in similar position dealing with the general public and/or customer service High school graduate, some college. Restaurant service experience is recommended. Certification of previous training in liquor, wine and food service. (desired) Certification in alcoholic awareness program. (desired) Computer training.
Essential Skills:
Ability to use Micros system. Ability to focus attention on guest needs while remaining calm and courteous. Ability to promote positive relations with all hoteliers within and outside of department. Ability to exercise good judgment and empathize with difficult guests. Ability to think clearly, quickly, maintain concentration and make concise decisions in pressure situations. Ability to prioritize, organize and follow up. Ability to demonstrate attention to detail. Ability to suggestively sell selected food and beverage items.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data. Ability to provide clear, pleasant telephone communication with proper grammar. Ability to remain stationary at assigned post when specified. Ability to endure abundant physical movements throughout the work areas. Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision. Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team. Ability to relay instructions, delegate work and follow up. Ability to lift or pull up to 20+lbs.
