LOCATION

This is a nationwide traveling position requiring frequent travel to project sites across the United States. Per diem will be provided.

ABOUT THE JOB

The Tepa Companies are seeking a Cultural Resources Specialist to provide technical expertise, program management support, surveillance, and oversight of Cultural Resources support services for the Army. As a Cultural Resources Specialist, you will conduct archaeological surveys, archaeological site monitoring and impact assessments.

Job Functions:

Conducts archaeological surveys, archaeological site monitoring, and impact assessments. Assists in the management of projects, site documentation, make NRHP recommendations. Tracks milestone dates and deadlines for plans and permits. Reviews project documents (work plans, schedule, and technical reports). Completes standard cultural resource forms accurately and concisely. Manages, and organizes cultural resources data and files. Collects digital data using tablet based electronic forms. Assists with the inspection and photography of curated collections.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Bachelor’s degree in Archaeology/Anthropology At least one year of full-time professional experience in archaeological research or cultural resource management Prior experience conducting field investigations Excellent research and writing skills Highly self-motivated with the ability to multi-task and perform detail-oriented work Familiarity with GPS and GIS applications and software Preferred (not required): Familiarity with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) and experience with Section 106 compliance Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans
