The selected candidate will be working with a distributed telescope platform to analyze images of satellites, derive orbital observations, and develop calibration software to optimize calculations. The work will include conducting a survey of relevant open-source tools and libraries and implementing algorithms. The candidate has access to real-time images of different orbital objects and gets a chance to do a deep dive on to the current state-of-the-art for extracting information from astrometric images.
