POSITION SPECIFICS
The Grozinger Lab is seeking a Postdoctoral Scholar in Technology for Living Systems.
The postdoctoral scholar will be responsible for developing camera systemsand apps that leverage artificial intelligence and computer vision to monitor behavior, abundance and floral preferences of bee species in field settings such as gardens, farms, and parks.
Previous experience in developing automated tracking systems that extract behavior and movement data for fast-moving organisms is essential. The candidate should have a strong track record of research productivity, successful collaborative team work, engaging with diverse stakeholder audiences, effective mentorship, and strong written and oral communication skills. Applicants are required to have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate in Ecology, Entomology, Engineering, Computer Science or related field and be able to provide evidence that all requirements have been met for completion of the Ph.D. prior to the effective date of hire.
